Telephone Counselling extended for new referrals in England & Wales
The Dove Service are pleased to announce that we are now able to extend our counselling and support services to take any NEW referrals for anyone aged 18+ residing within England & Wales. We are able to offer telephone counselling sessions going forward to anyone who has been affected by grief – be that through bereavement, loss or a life-changing or limiting illness.
We can all be deeply affected the death of someone close and the sense of loss and pain can be very intense. Sometimes our feelings of grief may be so strong that we fear we are losing control or going mad. However, it is normal and natural to grieve when someone dies.
Grieving may begin soon after someone dies; some people grieve for a relatively short period of time; whilst others find that they need a longer period of adjustment.
We offer counselling and other support to adults who have experienced a bereavement, significant loss, or life changing or limiting illness. We also work with people who are trying to cope with anticipatory grief, i.e. you or someone you love has been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
We recognise that bereavement impacts everyone differently, and that some bereavements can feel a lot harder to talk about than others, such as those associated with suicide, or a traumatic incident. We also know that the impact of bereavement isn’t always immediate, sometimes people start to struggle months or even years down the line, or just feel very stuck in their grief when it feels as though everyone else has moved on.
Our NEW, extended telephone counselling services, covering the whole of England and Wales, will commence with immediate effect and these sessions will be charged at the reduced rate of £30.00 per session.

Please note that due to COVID-19 our Head Office in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, is closed until further notice, hence we have revised our service to offer telephone counselling only to existing clients of the Dove Service, plus those on our waiting list once a member of our counselling team becomes available.
