The Dove Service – Awarded £1,000 towards “Dove Buddies” social project at Autonet Insurance Group 20th Anniversary Community Fund finals awards

The Dove Service were invited along to the Autonet Insurance Group 20th Anniversary Community Fund finals awards on Thursday 25th of October 2018 at the Potters Club in Stoke, where we were overjoyed to find out we had been awarded £1,000 towards our “Dove Buddies” social & friendship group.

Burslem based Autonet Insurance Group are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and in celebration of this, Ian Donaldson (CEO) launched a pledge to donate £20,000 to local communities and good causes. Ian Donaldson commented ‘we are still loyal to where we came from and wanted to show this by doing something to help local causes, which is in addition to our usual fundraising support’.

The money received from Autonet will go towards funding our “Dove Buddies” project which we originally set up 12 months ago, supporting adults who are struggling with the loneliness and isolation that accompanies grief. “Dove Buddies” creates a opportunity for adults to get together on a monthly basis with a chance to talk to others who are feeling isolated or lonely, and also plan activities within the local community.
