Update September 2021: Our Head Office in Hanley is starting to re-open, with Covid-19 safety precautions in place for the protection of our staff and our clients. We are currently seeing children & young people face-to-face and hope to start to open to our adult clients in the next few weeks. THE DOVE SERVICE RECOGNISES THAT FOR MANY PEOPLE THE FOCUS IS LARGELY BASED AROUND THE CARED FOR AND THEIR NEEDS, THEREFORE WE ARE HERE TO OFFER A WIDE RANGE OF SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE WANTS AND NEEDS OF THE CARER.

HELPING WITH YOUR CHALLENGES

To identify yourself as a carer can be the first amongst many challenges particularly when the support you are providing is for a loved one. For many people supporting a loved one is part of their ‘role’. To care and support a family member, friend or neighbour can be a particularly emotional period in your life. A caring role can potentially be very demanding on your time, an isolating experience and have significant financial implications.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Free emotional support / one to one counselling.
  • Free training; which includes workshops with the Department of Work and Pensions
  • Support Groups
  • Sign posting to other organisations
