MAKING A REFERAL

HOW DO I REFER?

Call our Head Office on 01782 914455, we can provide advice to determine if counselling is suitable and we will take some information regarding the child you would like to refer. We do require parental/carer consent to accept children referrals.

We do ask that all children under the age of 14 be accompanied to their session by an appropriate adult but will be given the choice of whether or not to have that adult present in during their counselling session. The Child or Young person will be given that choice at each of their sessions, so they can always change their mind.

(NB. This process may vary slightly depending on area).

C&YP RESOURCE PACK

We have created a Resource Pack for parents and professionals who support and work with Children and Young People (C&YP).

You can find information sheets on loss and grief; specifically around loss and grief and the effects this may also have on Children and Young People. We have also added activities you can do with the child or young person who you are supporting

To obtain a copy of our Resources Pack, please email us at @Enquiries

OTHER REFERAL ROUTES

If your GP or a school refers your child, you may find that they contact CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services). If there are no clear mental health symptoms, but there is a mention of the child experiencing issues relating to bereavement , loss or life-changing illness, CAMHS  will contact the referrer with our contact information.

OUT OF AREA REFERALS

If the child or young person you would like to refer is outside of Staffordshire, Cheshire or Wirral, self funded counselling is an option. Please contact us on 01782 914455 for more information.
