We would like to say a huge thanks to the team of 13 students from the National Citizen Service (NCS) Stoke branch, who have raised a whopping £812 for the Dove Service – part of their 4 week summer project, supporting mental health charities within their local community – one of our largest group donations to date! 

The students were busy throughout their fundraising week in July and took on a sponsored walk, a charity football match, a bake sale,  a car wash and a bag pack – phew, they have been busy!  We would like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of the team members for their fantastic fundraising efforts and for nominating the Dove Service to receive these funds which will help to support our core services.

NCS is an experience designed to make students feel challenged and changed, engaged and empowered.  The four-phase programme is just the beginning of an exciting journey for students aged 15-17 and provides them with the confidence and skills they need to seize the future they want.   It is a once in a lifetime experience to make amazing friendships, learn new stills and to create unforgettable memories by taking part in projects supporting local communities.  Go check them out and maybe you will be inspired!
