Eastern Cheshire CCG Community Volunteer Counsellors

Must provide the minimum of 3 counselling hours per week.
Parking, public transport and/ or vehicle mileage expenses paid at 40p per mile up to the maximum of 25 miles each way
Volunteers are required to cover one of the project’s eleven locations within Eastern Cheshire; Congleton, Alderley Edge, Bollington, Chelford, Disley, Handforth, Holmes Chapel, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Poynton and Wilmslow.
The Dove Service (TDS) recognises and values the significant commitment and contribution of volunteers to meet the needs of people accessing its services.
New opportunities are developing for volunteers in expanding the range of services provided by the organisation both within existing and new locations within Eastern Cheshire. Volunteers will primarily deliver one to one counselling sessions, with the opportunity to facilitate bereavement support groups within one of the specified community locations, when required.
This role is key in ensuring achievement of project targets for support of people across Eastern Cheshire. It is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a volunteer to broaden their skills and experience in delivering counselling within the community.
All applicants must be willing to:
- Work alone in a community based location with full support from the Dove Service.
- Commit to completing a full induction with Dove Service and attend on-going relevant CPD/ training.
- Attend monthly volunteer meetings that will take place at the Dove Services Head Office in Stoke-on-Trent.
